Switch to renewable energy with Solar PV  & Heat Pumps

Why Go Solar?

Better for the Environment

Cut down your reliance on fossil fuels with energy made at home 365 days a year.

Store energy produced during the day for use at night.

Cost Cutting

With energy costs so high and the efficiency of solar PV systems increasing, the payback period for solar PV systems is rapidly reducing, so your investment makes even more sense now that it did before.

Increased Home Value

Solar PV is now seen to add value to a property, so not only do you get the instant benefits of  energy costs savings, but you can also get an uplift on your property value should you choose to sell.

Planning and Saving

Energy security and price volatility has become a real issue for many customers in the UK.

By generating your own energy you can reduce your reliance on the grid and cut down on fluctuating energy .

Heat Pumps for Comfort

Get rid of your old gas boiler with an energy efficient eco-friendly heat pump.

Do Heat Pumps Really Work ?

Proven Technology

Heat pumps have been around since the 1950's. They work like a refrigerator running in reverse.

It's because they work so well that the UK government wants all new buildings to be fitted with heat pumps and offers customers a £5k grant to move away from gas boilers.

Energy Efficient

Heat pumps can produce 4kW of energy for every 1kW of energy they use, making them up to 400% efficient.

A highly efficient gas boiler will produce 90% efficiency and most older boilers will be lucky to achieve 70-80% at best.

Reliable

As a heat pump is effectively a fridge running in reverse they require less servicing and have less parts to go wrong than a gas boiler. After all, how often does your fridge break down at the most inconvenient time?

The Green Option

The majority of heat pumps just use electric as their power source. This means you can use renewable energy sources to run heat pumps - a very green option.

Coupled with a solar PV array your heat pump can produce most of your home heating without the need to pull from the grid.

Solar PV vs Solar Thermal

Sometimes we get asked “what’s the practical difference between them?”.

Solar PV uses light to create electricity which can be used for anything that needs electrical energy,

Solar thermal uses the sun's warmth to heat water in your water tank.

Air Source Heat Pumps

An Air source heat pump extracts heat energy from the surrounding air even at temperatures as slow as -10C.

MVHR

Ground Source Heat Pumps

A ground source heat pump extracts energy from coils buried in the ground. As ground temperature at depth remains constant for most of the year this produces a highly efficient and reliable heat source.

MVHR systems reduce warm air leaking out of a building where the occupants want to guarantee fresh air with minimal heat loss, by using warm stale air to heat the cooler fresh air entering the property.

EV Chargers

Used to charge your electric vehicle these are mandatory requirements for all new builds.

Biomass boilers

These use pellets that are burnt to create heat energy.
